The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is an international and independent organization, which is responsible for promoting, coordinating and supervise the fight against sports doping in all its forms. It is based in Montreal, Canada.
Through an agreement of all the countries that are part of the WADA, an official list of prohibited substances and methods in sport. The main substances used as dopants are steroids, stimulants, Growth, EPO, beta-2 agonists, and within prohibited methods it is worth mentioning Blood and genetic doping.
The professional athletes are pushed in the doping world mainly by the pursuit of increased sports performance, decreased fatigue and rapid recovery from injury. All this in order to achieve success, fame and the economic rewards at any price.
