Justin Gatlin
Justin Gatlin is an American speed test specialist. He was Olympic champion of the 100 meters in 2004 and world champion of 100 and 200 meters in 2005.
In 2001 he was sanctioned two years after giving positive for amphetamines during the Junior Championship of EE. UU. Gatlin appealed on the grounds that the positive test was due to medications he had been taking since childhood, when he was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. The IAAF reduced its sanction to one year.
On August 22, 2006, Justin Gatlin was sanctioned for eight years of disqualification by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) after testing positive for testosterone. A second sanction, after 2001, involved a punishment of For life, but Gatlin pledged to collaborate with justice by providing information that would help in the fight against doping.9 In exchange for the promise to cooperate and in recognition of the exceptional circumstances of the first time, USADA agreed that the period Maximum suspension would be eight years. Finally, the US Arbitration Court reduced the sentence to four years. Gatlin gave up the world record.
He returned to the competition on August 3, 2010 at the Rakvere rally in Estonia, winning the 100 meter test with a time of 10.24 seconds. In June 2011, he was in second place in the 100 meters of the US Championship. UU. With a time of 9.95, being surpassed by Walter Dix. In August of that year, he represented his country in the World Championship celebrated in Daegu, South Korea, being eliminated in the semifinals when being fourth in its series.
