Marta Domínguez

She is a Spanish ex-athlete, who was twice European champion of 5,000 meters in Munich 2002 and Göteborg 2006.

The TAS confirmed the three-year suspension for Marta Domínguez because of EPO. The IAAF demanded four years of suspension and the AMA between two and four, in addition to the elimination of her results from August 5, 2009.

Thus, she lost the World Cup in 3,000 hurdles of 2009 and the 2010 continental silver medal in Barcelona. The suspension began June 24, 2015, but they took into account the period in which she had already been provisionally suspended, between July 8, 2013 and March 19, 2014.

The Spanish athlete based her defense on the lack of reliability of the biological passport and that the anomalous values could come from the hypothyroidism that supposedly suffered the athlete. However, this was not effective to avoid the suspension.
