Raúl Fernández
The Federation announced in 2005 that the athlete Raúl Fernández was
punished with two years of suspension for a tamoxifen positive in a control on
May 11 in Seville. The punishment covers from the 28 of July of 2004 until the
28 of July of 2006.
Raúl Fernández, European indoor champion in Vienna 02, announced his
intention to defend his interests: "I have appealed to the Consejo
Superior de Deportes and on Monday I will present the allegations. If they
finally punish me, even though I justify medical treatment, I am prepared to go
to ordinary justice. "
The athlete says he took "nolvadex," a drug prescribed by a
doctor and available at any pharmacy, to be cured after five consecutive
injuries.
Finally, the Spanish athlete was accused of doping. He deal with two
years of suspension.
